Importing Information
There is no limit to how many contacts can be in Call Logic at one time!
When importing there is a limit on how many contacts you can import at one time. The maximum number of contacts you can import with one file is 10,000 contacts.
Importing a List of Contacts
- To add contacts to the Call Logic system, you'll need to have a spreadsheet available with the contacts you wish to import. Spreadsheets should be formatted with a single row of headers and include at least a name and phone number. The spreadsheet must be saved as a CSV or XLS file. The formatting should look similar to this:
Note, the names of the headers such as "Name" or "Phone" don't have to be named any specific value. You will be prompted to tell the system what field is which data in a later step. As long as you know which column contains what data, you are all set! - Once your sheet is ready, you can head into Call Logic and import the sheet. Click on the Contacts tab at the top, then Import.
- Click Choose File.
-
After you choose the file, select what you would like to do with the file. You have three options:
-
Import Contacts - Just puts the contacts in the system.
-
Import Contacts to New Campaign - Imports and creates a brand new calling campaign.
-
Import Contacts to an Existing Campaign - Import contacts and add them to an already existing calling campaign.
-
In this example, we are just going to select Import Contacts. (the first option)
-
-
Select the appropriate field from your column headings.
-
The system might automatically fill out the appropriate field based on the name of the header. If it does not, you can simply click "Choose" and select what you wish for that field to be in the drop down.
- If you have a field on your list that is not represented in the drop down, choose the option "User Defined" and type in the name of the field to the right.
- Any fields left on "Choose" will not be imported into Call Logic.
-
-
Click the blue import button when you are ready!
-
You will then be brought to the results. If any contacts failed to import, you will get an explanation on this page. In this example, all 3 records went in successfully:
